What can cause AVN AFTER having had your hip resurfaced?

The notch is certainly one of the most important causes of postop collapse. Strangely some of them do escape.  However it is certainly not a good idea to notch.

Notch can cause postop collapse by damaging the vessels found close to bone. The blood supply may also be disrupted by an aggressive surgeon who strips all the soft tissues off the neck. This becomes increasingly relevant with decreasing level of arthritis in the hip.
